Free code, paid in hours
A working script is just the start. Flight-deal requests and result parsing need upkeep when the source changes. Use HasData to collect the fares without maintaining that scraper.
Self-hosted costs and hours are illustrative budgets for one custom scraper. Engineering time is separate from infrastructure spend.

Before you connect
How is this different from the Google Flights MCP server?
Deals starts with a trip idea and a departure airport, so Google can suggest destinations and dates. The Google Flights MCP server searches a known route with specified travel dates. Choose the tool that matches whether you are exploring or already have an itinerary.
Which departure airport format should I use?
Use an uppercase IATA airport code such as JFK or LHR in departureId. The endpoint accepts one departure airport per request, not a city name. Your agent should ask for the airport if the departure is ambiguous.
Does Google choose the destinations and travel dates?
Yes, when you start with q and departureId. A seasonal query can produce a date window in searchInformation.dateRange, and each deal carries its actual travel dates. Read those returned dates instead of assuming the text became an exact date filter.
Can I filter by budget, dates, airline or cabin class?
Provide arrivalId before adding these filters. The destination can be an airport IATA code or a supported location identifier. returnDate also requires outboundDate. Use only one of returnDate, travelDuration and tripLength, and do not combine includeAirlines with excludeAirlines. Inspect the returned search context and deals to confirm the requested constraints.
What comes back with a deal?
Inspect the fare and currency alongside departure and arrival airports, dates, stops, duration and the booking link. Google can also return destination descriptions, a typical price and a discount percentage. Those optional fields may be absent, and one-way results do not carry a return date or trip length.
Can I search for children or infants?
The tool accepts children, infantsInSeat and infantsOnLap. Omit counts that are zero. Google Flight Deals may return no results for some passenger combinations, including infants. Confirm the traveler details and fare on the booking page before purchase.
Can the agent book tickets or send price alerts?
This tool only retrieves flight deals. A bookingLink lets a person inspect the itinerary on Google Flights, but the tool cannot reserve a ticket or take payment. Scheduling, stored price history and alerts belong in your own workflow.
What if the request fails or finds no deals?
Check the API status before reading flightDeals. An error response is not an empty successful search. Valid filters can produce an empty list. Failed requests consume no credits. Recheck the query and required parameter combinations before deciding whether another request is useful.
Are the returned fares guaranteed?
No. Fares and availability can change before you open the booking link. Use the returned dates and traveler settings when comparing offers, then confirm the itinerary and price before purchase.
What happens when my credits run out?
Requests stop when your balance cannot cover the next call. HasData does not charge overages. Wait for the next billing cycle or renew your paid subscription early to restore credits.
Is HasData affiliated with Google?
No. HasData is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. Google Flights is a trademark of its respective owner.
